We’re proud that Target Field continues to be MLB’s greenest ballpark, and every fan who comes to a game at Target Field is part of our industry-leading efforts to keep waste out of landfills, use compostable materials, and recycle rainwater.
The Minnesota Twins are dedicated to building a better tomorrow.
At Target Field and in our communities, the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund are working together to create the next generation of passionate fans, supportive teammates, and empathetic leaders.
Since the first blueprints were drawn for Target Field, we have taken bold steps toward preserving our environment. By inspiring Twins Territory to take action with us, we’re shaping a legacy of stewardship, ensuring that our community and our planet flourish for generations to come.
Our Learning Through Baseball Program provides a unique educational experience from the one-of-a-kind classroom setting that is Target Field. One of our most popular courses, the Environment and Sustainability at Target Field tour teaches students how the ballpark meets the many environmental challenges of a sports facility. This course uses the fun of baseball to highlight elements of building design and operations as well as everyday actions that individuals can take to be stewards of the planet.
In partnership with local nonprofit Appetite For Change, the Twins are proud to sponsor an urban farm in North Minneapolis. Twins volunteers and local youth help grow and harvest produce throughout the summer to provide our neighbors with access to fresh, sustainably grown food.
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond Target Field and throughout our community. We partnered with Players For The Planet and The Sanneh Foundation to inspire kids to be champions for our environment.
