Twins x Thrivent At Bat For Impact

United by a shared commitment to building a better tomorrow, the Twins and Thrivent are giving fans an opportunity to help direct where we give back. Through this new purpose-driven partnership, fan votes will help direct donations that will drive community impact. Twins x Thrivent At Bat For Impact invites all fans attending each Twins regular season home game to vote among featured nonprofits and learn about the powerful work they do. Fans will help direct $200,000 to nonprofits during four voting cycles throughout the season.

Active Minds and Active Bodies

During the 2024 season, Twins x Thrivent At Bat For Impact is focused on inspiring active minds and active bodies within our communities. We know that when we foster a love of play and a love of learning, our youth—and our communities—thrive. Each voting cycle will shine a spotlight on a cohort of four local nonprofits doing powerful and unique work across Twins Territory to lay the path to a better tomorrow for the next generation.​

CYCLE 4: Mentorship

Black Men Teach

Black Men Teach’s mission is to recruit, prepare, place and retain Black male teachers in elementary school classrooms. We support pre-service and current teachers through paid internships, professional development, mentorship, scholarships, loan forgiveness and more.


Bolder Options

Bolder Options is a one-on-one mentoring program that provides young people with opportunities to participate in physical activities, develop healthy habits, and build positive relationships with supportive adults. Bolder Options serves youth between the ages of 10 and 14, who have been referred by professionals in their lives as individuals who could benefit from the program. Once we identify youth who need support we match them with volunteer mentors who meet with them every week for a year. Throughout their year together, participants focus on holistic personal development through weekly activities hosted by staff. Through mentoring we empower young people in developing the confidence and skills needed to succeed in school, work, and life.


The JP4 Foundation

The JP4 Foundation provides year-round programming with summer-long camps in Minneapolis and St. Paul and our after-school program in St. Paul. Both programs are mentor-led, follow lesson plans developed by an urban educator expert, and align with the MN Department of Education Social Emotional Implementation Guidelines. Lesson plans and activities center around our core mission of ensure kids have access to healthy meals, healthy activity, and healthy relationships.

Pillsbury United Communities

Pillsbury United Communities is focused on creating enduring change toward a just society where every person has personal, social, and economic power. We build systems of interconnected programs, neighborhood centers, social enterprises, and partnerships that work together to address complex issues by breaking down barriers and building pathways. We serve the Black, Brown, Indigenous, immigrant, and working-class residents of Minneapolis striving to build better lives and communities for their families in spite of racism, poverty, and other systemic barriers.

Roots For The Home Team works with youth participating in community garden programs to cultivate personal and professional growth.

Appetite For Change

Appetite For Change uses food as a tool to build health, wealth, and social change in North Minneapolis. We bring people together to learn, cook, eat, and grow food, creating change that lasts.

Cookie Cart

Cookie Cart teaches life, leadership, and employment skills to teens of color through on-the-job and classroom experiences in nonprofit bakeries.

Every Meal

Every Meal is on a mission to fight child hunger. Every week, children across Minnesota receive tailored food bags for the weekend directly in their backpacks.

Highland Friendship Club

Highland Friendship Club serves teens and adults with disabilities by providing programs that foster friendships, strengthen self-advocacy and explore lifelong learning.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute Adaptive Sports & Recreation offers recreational and competitive sports for youth and adults of all abilities in the Twin Cities.

What is Twins x Thrivent At Bat For Impact?
Fans can help direct where the Twins and Thrivent give back in our community! All fans attending each Twins regular season home game at Target Field are invited to vote among four featured nonprofits via the MLB Ballpark app.

Where and how often can I vote?
You can use the MLB Ballpark app to cast one vote during each regular season home game you attend at Target Field.

How are the nonprofits chosen?
Each featured nonprofit is selected and vetted by the Twins and Thrivent based on characteristics including, but not limited to, alignment with the selected philanthropic theme, proven success in driving impact, and distinctiveness of programs and services.

Do the nonprofits stay the same throughout the season?
No. The season will have four distinct voting cycles, with each cycle featuring four nonprofit organizations. Each cycle will focus on a specific concentration area within the larger theme, with the featured nonprofits doing powerful work in the impact area. Featured nonprofits for each cycle will be announced closer to the start of each cycle.

What do the nonprofits receive?
Twins x Thrivent At Bat For Impact will award $40,000 each cycle. The nonprofit in each cycle that garners the most fan votes will receive $15,000; the runner-up will get $12,000; the organization with the third-most votes will be given $8,000; and the fourth will be presented with $5,000. An additional voting opportunity for Thrivent Club members will help direct an extra $10,000 per cycle.

How will the results of the voting be communicated?
After the conclusion of each voting cycle, the Twins will share the results during a pregame check presentation.

What happens if voting ends in a tie?
In the event voting ends in a tie, Thrivent Club account holders will receive via email a tie-breaker ballot to determine the final ranking of that cycle’s nonprofits. Should the tie-breaker ballot also end in a tie, representatives from the Minnesota Twins and Thrivent will make the final ranking decision.

Can I vote from home?
No, voting is exclusive to fans at Target Field.

What is the additional voting opportunity available to members of the Thrivent Club at Target Field?
Furthering this initiative's impact, during each of the four voting cycles, Thrivent Club members will have the exclusive opportunity to vote on additional impact areas to which they would like to direct an additional $40,000 of Twins x Thrivent At Bat For Impact ($10,000 per voting cycle). For each voting cycle, the Twins and Thrivent will identify nonprofits working in these additional impact areas and award these nonprofits a portion of the additional $40,000 allotment ($10,000 per voting cycle). Voting details will be communicated to Thrivent Club members via email.

Yes! The Twins and Thrivent have committed to partner on this community impact program for multiple seasons.
