What’s your favorite ballpark to play in and why?
That’s an easy one. Here, Camden Yards. That’s gotta be a popular answer. But I’d say number two is St. Louis, Busch Stadium. That was the coolest environment outside of Camden this year, that was fun.
What did you want to be when you were little?
I wanted to be a professional athlete of some sort just wasn’t sure which one. So I was always just playing sports. Basketball and cross country were the two main other ones.
If an ice cream truck pulled up right now, what would your order be?
Chocolate chip cookie dough. Cup.
What player or coach would win an arm wrestling contest?
It’s hard to pick against Félix Bautista for that one.
If you could trade places with one person for a day, who would it be? Why?
Maybe The Beatles. Being a part of The Beatles for a day would be a cool feeling.
What is your favorite way to spend an off-day?
Relaxing. Play some golf, get some coffee, watch some TV. That’s about it.
Does your number have any special meaning behind it?
No, it was given to me for me debut so I’m riding it out.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
“Your Man” by Josh Turner.
Which teammate do you think was the biggest troublemaker in school?
Joey Krehbiel. Easy.
If you weren’t playing professional baseball, what would you be doing?
I would hopefully be playing professional golf or football or something else.
What is your favorite animal and why?
I would say a Grizzly Bear. I think they’re pretty awesome. Ferocious. Alpha predator.
If you could see any singer in concert who would it be?
Probably Drake. I’m a big Drake fan.
What is one word your teammates would use to describe you?
Intense.
If you have the aux in the clubhouse, what are you playing?
Some chill EDM, like Kygo type stuff.
Who do you look up to the most?
My dad.
What was your favorite breakfast cereal when you were a kid?
Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
What was your first car?
2003 Toyota Sequoia.
If you could play any position other than your own, what would it be?
Center field.
Who’s the greatest athlete of all time and why?
I think probably Bo Jackson just with the versatility and raw speed and power.
What is your favorite thing about this team?
The energy in the clubhouse is just really awesome to be a part of.
