Monday, September 2
The Orioles offense showed off in their 13-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. Every O’s starter recorded a hit and scored a run for the first time since August 2017. It marked the fourth time this year every Orioles starter scored a run, the most such games in MLB. Gunnar Henderson led off the game with his 34th home run of the year, tying Cal Ripken, Jr. and Miguel Tejada for the most home runs by an Orioles shortstop in a single season in club history. Austin Slater and Cedric Mullins both recorded three hits and three RBI. Anthony Santander walked twice, Adley Rutschman recorded two hits, Emmanuel Rivera tripled, and Jackson Holliday extended his hitting streak to five straight games.
Tuesday, September 3
The Orioles beat the White Sox, 9-0, improving to 81-59 on the season. Cade Povich earned the win, throwing a career-high 7.1 shutout innings and recording a career-high 10 strikeouts, while not walking a batter. Gunnar Henderson, Ryan O’Hearn, and Anthony Santander each doubled in the first inning.
Wednesday, September 4
Gunnar Henderson opened the first inning with his 35th home run of the year, passing Cal Ripken, Jr. and Miguel Tejada for the most homers by an O’s shortstop in a single season. It also marked Henderson’s 10th leadoff home run of the year, the second most in Major League Baseball.
Friday, September 6
The Orioles beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 2-0, behind Dean Kremer’s 6.0 scoreless innings. Kremer earned the win after allowing just two hits while striking out seven and taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning. Gunnar Henderson connected on his 36th home run of the season, marking back-to-back games with a home run. The win marked Baltimore’s ninth shutout of the season.
Saturday, September 7
Cedric Mullins connected on his 15th home run of the season in the sixth inning, marking his second home run in his last five games.
Sunday, September 8
Coby Mayo made his first career big league appearance at first base after entering the game as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning. Gunnar Henderson stole his 18th base of the year and recorded his 16th game with three-or-more hits this year. Corbin Burnes allowed just two runs over 6.0 innings.
