Tuesday, September 17

The Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco Giants opened up a three-game series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Colton Cowser and Heston Kjerstad each recorded pinch hits. Cedric Mullins recorded his 29th stolen base of the year.

Wednesday, September 18

Baltimore native and nationally known comedian Stavros Halkias threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the O’s took on the San Francisco Giants. Dean Kremer struck out seven batters over 6.0 innings, and Ryan O’Hearn and James McCann both doubled. Colton Cowser scored his American League rookie-leading 71st run of the season and Gunnar Henderson recorded his team-high 45th multi-hit game of the year.

Thursday, September 19

Anthony Santander hit his 42nd home run of the year and his third career walk-off home run to give the Orioles a 5-3 win over the Giants. Zach Eflin struck out five batters over 6.0 innings, allowing just two runs. Gunnar Henderson notched his first career 30/20 season with a stolen base in the first inning. Cedric Mullins stole his 30th base of the year in the seventh, marking his third season with at least 30 stolen bases. Adley Rutschman and Jackson Holliday each recorded at least one RBI in the win.

Friday, September 20

The Orioles beat the Detroit Tigers, 7-1, lowering the O’s magic number to clinch a Postseason berth to three. Baltimore’s offense combined to hit five home runs, including multi-homer nights for James McCann and Colton Cowser. It marked the first time the Orioles have had multiple players record two or more home runs in a single game since Ryan Mountcastle and Cedric Mullins on June 19, 2021 vs. Toronto. Corbin Burnes earned his 15th win of the season, throwing 7.0 shutout innings.

Saturday, September 21

Gunnar Henderson and Emmanuel Rivera both recorded multiple RBI, including a game-tying two-RBI double by Henderson in the ninth inning. Heston Kjerstad recorded his first career three-hit game and Colton Cowser extended his hitting streak to six straight games.

Sunday, September 22

Cedric Mullins hit his 18th home run of the season in the fifth inning. Ramón Urías and Jordan Westburg were reinstated from the Injured List prior to the game. Westburg made his first start since suffering a right-hand fracture on July 31, recording an RBI double in the fifth. Adley Rutschman recorded his 20th double of the season, becoming the fifth catcher in Major League history to record 20 or more doubles in each of his first three big league seasons.
