July 28, 2023 – Yankees vs. Orioles
Anthony Santander hit his second career walk-off home run in the ninth inning to give the Orioles a 1-0 win over the New York Yankees. The win marked the O’s fifth walk-off victory and fifth shutout this season. Grayson Rodriguez earned his first career quality start, working 6.1 scoreless innings, and Félix Bautista got the win, throwing a scoreless inning and recording his MLB-leading 35th multi-strikeout appearance.
July 29, 2023 – Yankees vs. Orioles
Ryan Mountcastle’s grandfather threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Mountcastle prior to the game. He then connected on his 13th home run of the year in the second inning. Adley Rutschman batted leadoff for the first time in his career and extended his on-base streak to a career-high 14 straight games.
July 30, 2023 – Yankees vs. Orioles
The Orioles beat the Yankees, 9-3, to secure the series win over New York. Baltimore pitchers combined to strike out 18 batters, the most in a nine-inning game in team history. The O’s scored six runs in the first inning before recording an out. It marked the first time each of the first six Orioles batters scored to start the game since July 18, 2017. Adam Frazier hit a three-run home run in the first inning, extending his career-high to 13 homers on the season, and Mike Baumann earned the win, improving to 8-0.
