White Sox announce two roster moves
ANAHEIM, Calif. – Prior to tonight’s series opener at the Los Angeles Angels, the Chicago White Sox announced the following two roster moves:
- Returned from injury rehabilitation assignment and reinstated from the 60-day injured list (1): 3B Yoán Moncada;
- Optioned to Class AAA Charlotte (1): OF Corey Julks.
Moncada has appeared in 17 rehab games, including the last 12 with Charlotte, going 22-56 (.393) with six doubles, one home run, eight RBI and six walks. He has been on the injured list since April 10 with a left adductor strain suffered while running to first base on April 9 at Cleveland. Moncada is 11-39 (.282) with three doubles, a triple, five walks and four runs scored in 11 games with the White Sox this season.
Julks is hitting .214 (37-173) with seven doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI in 66 games this season, his first with the White Sox.
Following the moves, Chicago’s 40-man roster increases to 40.
