  • Appointed as 27th Player (1): LHP Jake Eder from Class AA Birmingham.

Eder, 25, is 2-5 with a 5.09 ERA (42 ER/74.1 IP) and 86 strikeouts (10.4 per 9.0 IP) over 15 starts with Birmingham this season. Eder was acquired on August 1, 2023, from the Miami Marlins in exchange for infielder Jake Burger.

Eder is 7-16 with a 4.27 ERA (96 ER/202.1 IP) and 255 strikeouts (11.3 per 9.0 IP) in 44 career starts over three minor-league seasons in the Miami (2021-23) and Chicago (2023-24) systems. He originally was selected by the Marlins in the fourth round of the 2020 First-Year Player Draft out of Vanderbilt University.
