Avisail day to day after exiting with sore knee
September 2nd, 2018
CHICAGO -- Avisail Garcia exited Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Red Sox after the conclusion of the sixth inning with right knee soreness, the White Sox announced.
Garcia had gone 0-for-3 with three strikeouts before his exit. Ryan LaMarre shifted to right field and Daniel Palka came in to play left.
"He'll be day to day. We'll see him again," manager Rick Renteria said after the game, indicating that the knee giving Garcia trouble is the same knee that bothered him earlier this season. "We'll re-evaluate him in the morning."
Garcia has dealt with hamstring and knee issues throughout the year, and he has said he is planning on undergoing arthroscopic surgery on the knee in the offseason.
