Vice President, International Scouting & Special Advisor to Baseball Ops
Kevin Goldstein is entering his third year with the Minnesota Twins, and was promoted to Vice President, International Scouting and Special Advisor to Baseball Operations in January 2024.
In his current role, Goldstein oversees all aspects of international scouting, including the identification, evaluation, and valuation processes. In addition to his international scouting duties, Goldstein advises the baseball operations group on a variety of personnel moves, including trades and free agent signings, while also working directly at times with agents and external clubs.
In his first two years with the Twins, Goldstein served as Special Assistant, Player Personnel, where he oversaw the transformation of the club's international scouting operations - adding the use of data, video and other technologies to modernize the department's processes. Prior to his time with the Twins, Goldstein spent nearly a decade with the Houston Astros, where he served as the club's Director of Pro Scouting before being promoted to Special Assistant to the GM; in that role, he provided leadership in pro, international and amateur player evaluation, while also consulting on roster moves.
Kevin lives in Campton Hills, IL, with his wife, Margaret, and a quartet of rescued animals.
