Dylan Floro designated for release or assignment
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day Injured List.
Stewart, who was originally placed on the 15-day Injured List on June 27 with right elbow soreness, appeared in three games on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, pitching 3.0 scoreless innings with no hits allowed, two walks and five strikeouts, while topping out at 98.9 mph in velocity. Prior to landing on the Injured List, the right-hander appeared in 25 games for the Twins, going 2-0 with a 0.70 ERA (25.2 IP, 2 ER), one save, seven holds, 11 walks, 35 strikeouts, a .172 (15-for-87) opponent batting average and a 12.3 strikeouts-per-9.0 innings pitched ratio.
To make room for Stewart on the 28-man and 40-man rosters, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Dylan Floro for release or assignment. Floro, who was acquired via trade with Miami on July 26, appeared in 19 games for the Twins, going 2-1 with a 5.29 ERA (17.0 IP, 10 ER), six walks and 17 strikeouts.
