Trevor Larnach placed on 10-day Injured List

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr.

Keirsey Jr. (pronounced ker-zee) made his major league debut on September 5 and played in four games for the Twins between September 5-11, going 1-for-10 with a hit-by-pitch. The 27-year-old hit .300 (133-for-443) with 22 doubles, seven triples, 14 home runs, 81 RBI, 48 walks, 36 stolen bases, 71 runs scored and an .844 OPS in 111 games for Triple-A St. Paul this season.

To make room for Keirsey Jr. on the 28-man roster, the Twins have placed outfielder Trevor Larnach on the 10-day Injured List with a left hamstring strain (retroactive to September 27). Larnach hit .259 (92-for-355) with 17 doubles, 15 home runs, 52 RBI, 40 walks, four stolen bases, 59 runs scored and a .771 OPS in 112 games for the Twins this season.
