The team understands that healthy urban planning includes many facets, from public health and environmental considerations to plant and wildlife preservation and concern over rising sea levels. Public health goals set in the StPete2050 Vision Plan and the City’s Integrated Sustainability Action Plan provide a framework for a resilient, sustainable district.
Considering the quality of life of the entire area, the team will follow environmentally friendly actions, source responsible materials and consider the equity impact on development practices. Hines is a leader in delivering sustainable projects and buildings around the world and is committed to a net zero carbon target by 2040. Hines was also awarded 2021 ESG Firm of the Year from Global PERE awards and is a repeat Energy Star winner.
Our vision stitches together the surrounding communities in all directions - inspired by art, culture, history and the environment. The public realm will provide culturally inspired and environmentally conscious public spots for all, offering new civic spaces through a restored Booker Creek landscape.
That landscape will be designed for everyday user activity, including walking paths and places for seating and gathering.
