Friendly Confines Forever Contest

Important Update (as of March 20, 2020)

In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic and Major League Baseball’s announcement to delay the start of the 2020 regular season, we’ve made the decision to suspend our Friendly Confines Forever Contest, for the time being.

Please note eligible videos submitted between March 2 and March 20 will be included as entries when the contest reopens at a later date. Additional information regarding the Friendly Confines Forever Contest will be shared as soon as it’s available.

As we celebrate the completion of the restoration and expansion of Wrigley Field, we invite fans to share their most cherished Wrigley Field memory as part of our Friendly Confines Forever Contest!

Our fans are what make Wrigley Field the “Friendly Confines,” and we want you to be a part of our celebration by sharing your most cherished Wrigley Field memory to compete to win the ultimate ballpark package. Whether it’s an emotional memory, a funny memory, a memory showcasing generations in a family enjoying a Cubs game at Wrigley Field or a memory of an unforgettable experience at a Wrigley Field concert, all submissions should focus on your love for our historic ballpark.

To enter the contest, individuals must record and submit an online video via Twitter using the #FriendlyConfinesForever hashtag by 11:59 p.m. CDT Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Nine (9) winners will then be selected and each individually honored at one game during the Cubs' nine-game homestand from April 21-29, 2020. The selected game date will be predetermined by the Cubs at their sole discretion and shared with each winner. Winners will be contacted on or around Thursday, April 2, 2020.

Each winner will receive the ultimate ballpark package*, including:

  • Four (4) tickets to a preselected Cubs game between Tuesday, April 21, 2020, and Wednesday, April 29, 2020

    - One ticket is to be used for the winner and the remaining three tickets can be used for guests

  • The opportunity to throw a ceremonial first pitch on the preselected game date

  • One two-seat set of MLB-authenticated Wrigley Field seats

  • Wrigley Field brick paver package

    - Including one personalized brick paver to be installed at Wrigley Field and one replica to be shipped to the winner

  • Travel accommodations*

    - Including round-trip transportation and a one-night stay at Hotel Zachary

All videos must include the following required elements in order to qualify:

  • State the following information about yourself: Full name, hometown and age
  • All video entries must be two minutes or less and submitted via Twitter using the #FriendlyConfinesForever hashtag
  • The video submitter must be 18 years or older at time of entry and be a legal resident of the United States, excluding New York and Florida
  • All entries must be received after 10 a.m. CST Monday, March 2, 2020, and before 11:59 p.m. CDT Tuesday, March 31, 2020
  • Spoken in the English language or subtitled
  • Limit of one video per person and per Twitter account

Below is additional guidance to help you create a compelling video submission:

  • Be creative and original
  • Have fun
  • Clearly explain why your memory is unique and how it’s connected to Wrigley Field

Videos containing the following will be disqualified:

  • Any copyrighted material
  • Any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of the Chicago Cubs
  • Entries that portray the Chicago Cubs or Major League Baseball in a negative way

A team of judges will select nine (9) winners to receive the ultimate ballpark package. Judges will be looking for fans who show creativity and originality while showcasing their unique memory and its connection to Wrigley Field.* By submitting your nomination, you commit that you will conduct yourself in an appropriate manner during the on-field first pitch on the game date selected.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Enter by 11:59 p.m. CT on March 31, 2020. Nine (9) prizes will be awarded. Open to legal residents of the United States including its commonwealths, territories and possessions, excluding Florida and New York, who are of legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (and at least 18 years of age) at the time of entry.
