May 28, the Blue Jays beat the White Sox in the team's final game at Exhibition Stadium. Shortly after, on June 25, the SkyDome hosts its first game ever with the Milwaukee Brewers besting the Blue Jays, 5-3. The Blue Jays would go on to win the AL East Division title in the final weekend showdown against the Baltimore Orioles that same year.
October 24, the Blue Jays win their first World Series title in Game 6 with a 4-3 win in 11 innings over the Braves in Atlanta.
