Rogers Centre roof closed for ALDS finale
TORONTO -- The roof at Rogers Centre will be closed today for Game 5 of the American League Division Series between the Blue Jays and Rangers at 4 p.m. ET on Sportsnet/FOX Sports 1.
Per Major League Baseball policy, the decision on whether the roof at Rogers Centre is open or closed for postseason games is made by the Commissioner's Office. Commissioner Rob Manfred or his representatives meet with the Blue Jays and crew chief umpire Dale Scott prior to each game to discuss the situation.

Toronto provides MLB with access to its on-field operations department, and the decision is based on the same criteria the Blue Jays use during the regular season.
The forecast Wednesday doesn't appear to include any rain, but the temperatures were expected to be around 12 degrees Celsius (54 Fahrenheit) for game time.
The Blue Jays were 38-14 with the roof open at home this season and 11-14 when it was closed. They went 4-0 in other situations, which includes either the roof being open and then closed midway through the game or vice versa.
The Blue Jays dropped Games 1 and 2 of the series at home, and the roof was closed for both of those games.
