Toronto Blue Jays - Saturday Salute

During the regular baseball season, the Toronto Blue Jays honour a member of the Canadian Armed Forces every Saturday home game. The honouree, along with their closest family and friends, are invited to Rogers Centre to take in batting practice from behind home plate, meet with players and coaches, and watch the game from the premium Saturday Salute seats. In the third inning, Blue Jays fans come together to recognize the honouree during a special in-game presentation. The Toronto Blue Jays are proud to salute all the brave people of the Canadian forces who serve our country every day.

Canada Day 2024

On Canada Day, with the help of over 200 Canadian service members, a Canadian Flag the size of the outfield is unveiled during the Canadian national anthem creating a patriotic moment for everyone in the ballpark. In 2024 the Royal Canadian Air Force celebrated 100 years of service and to commemorate this monumental milestone the Toronto Blue Jays honoured five Air Force Veterans during a pregame ceremony on Canada Day. To top off this special day, the Royal Canadian Air Force Rock Band performed for fans throughout the game in the WestJet Flight Deck.
