Rally Cats Auditions will take place over a two-day period beginning Saturday, January 18, 2025 and concluding Sunday, January 19, 2025. You must be available for both days of auditions to be considered.
***ADVANCED REGISTRATION is highly recommended this year as the audition format has changed. Advanced registration closes on January 10th and on January 11th you will receive a password to access choreography that you will perform at auditions on Saturday, January 18th.
Walk Up Registration
Walk-ups registrations are welcome on Day 1 of the audition but need to arrive early to fill out an application and waiver. You will need to bring a current headshot in order to try out. The format has changed this year for auditions so those that choose to do walk-ups need to understand that choreography will NOT be taught day of.
***Disclaimer: We will quickly go over the choreography that you should have learned and came to auditions prepared with. We will NOT be teaching the choreography on audition day.
When: Saturday, January 18th | 11:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm
Where: Comerica Park - Tiger Club 2100 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48201 The tiger Club Lobby is located on Witherell St., across from the intersection of E Elizabeth St. and Witherell St. and near Tin Roof. Parking: Candidates are on their own for parking during this audition. Please note, the Tigers are not responsible for any tickets, towing, or boots associated with parking. What to Bring: A professional 8”x10” headshot, a positive attitude, and lots of enthusiasm. Doors to the Tiger Club Lobby entrance will open at 10:00am for check-in and walk-up registration. . Auditions start promptly at 11:00am. Late arrivals will not be admitted into the tryout. The second and third rounds are by invitation only to those who qualify. Qualifying for the second round on Day 1 does not guarantee that you will qualify for Day 2.
Upon arriving at the Tiger Club Entrance, please let on-site personnel know you are here for Detroit Tigers Rally Cats Auditions, and you will be escorted up to the Tiger Club
What to Wear
Day 1 & Day 2:
- Form fitting athletic wear (no midriffs, please)
- Athletic shoe of preference
- Performance ready appearance

Candidate Information

- Must live within 100 miles of Comerica Park within the United States

As a Rally Cat you will:
- Appear as an ambassador of the Detroit Tigers organization through our in-game promotions and entertainment, community outreach and charity events
- Perform in a variety of styles in front of 40,000+ fans
- Get paid to be a part of the excitement and cheer on the Tigers
- Create lifelong memories for Tigers fans
- Gain experience working in Major League Baseball
Requirements:
- All candidates must be at least 18 years of age by January 18, 2025 AND must have already graduated from high school
- All team members must have flexible schedules and be available for all team meetings, games and appearances during the term
- Must be available to work at least 40 home games beginning on Opening Day of the 2025 season (April 4th, 2025)
- Attend ALL team meetings and other team meetings as determined by the Detroit Tigers
- Available as needed for appearances as determined by the Detroit Tigers
If selected to join the Rally Cats team for 2025, you commit to attending all mandatory events, including but not limited to:
- Event Staff Orientation: Every Thursday from January 23rd and March 6th from 5:00pm-8:00pm (only need to attend one)
- Rally Cats Bootcamp: March 8: 11:00am-2:00pm and March 9: 11:00am-2:00pm
- All additional mandatory dates (Team Dinner, Photo Shoot, Opening Day Walkthrough, etc.) will be given at on March 8, 2025
Audition Process and Judging Criteria
Auditions will be closed to anyone not auditioning. Those that pre-register will receive password to access choreography that you will perform at auditions on Saturday, January 18th. Disclaimer: We will quickly go over the choreography that you should have learned and come to auditions prepared with. We will NOT be teaching the choreography on audition day. If you are asked to return for the second round of auditions on day two January 18th it will consist of interviews, icebreakers and a group project. The second day of auditions will be on January 19th. All candidates must be able to attend all of these dates, and no exceptions will be made.
Candidates will be judged on the following:
- Personality and enthusiasm
- Ability to positively represent the Tigers brand
- Knowledge of the Tigers organization and game of baseball
- Capacity to work in a group
- Dance, rhythm skills, and the ability to learn choreography quickly
- Ability to adapt and perform to quickly changing situations and scenarios
