Appeared in just one game for the Blue Jays...Recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on July 2 vs. TB to start the second game of the doubleheader for his season debut (4.2 IP, 12H, 10ER, 3HR, 2BB, 4K)... Went 8-7 with a 4.67 ERA in 28 games (22 starts) for the Bisons... Moved to the Bisons’ bullpen for his last six games of the season, keeping a 2.77 ERA (4 ER/13.0 IP) and a 0.77 WHIP.

Played in just two games for the Blue Jays as he landed on the injured list twice, leading to a 0-1 record and a 6.75 ERA...Began the season on the IL with a right elbow impingement...Was activated July 6 and optioned to Triple-A Buffalo...Made 14 starts and one relief appearance for the Bisons, going 2-6 with a 4.04 ERA...Made his season debut with a start July 26 at BOS, giving up three runs and seven hits over 3.2 innings (HR, BB, 4K)...Got his 2nd start in Game 2 on Sept. 11, at BAL when he came up as the 29th man (4.0 IP, 3H, ER, 2BB, 3K)...Landed back on the IL on Sept. 24 for the rest of the season due to right hamstring tendonitis.

Split the season between Double-A Tennessee and Double-A New Hampshire...Tied Ricardo Sanchez (SEA) for the most starts among all Double-A pitchers at 27...Ranked T-14th among all of Double-A with 127 strikeouts and finished 14th in innings pitched (135.1)...Posted a 4.59 ERA and went 4-10 across 21 starts for the Smokies...Was traded from the Cubs to the Blue Jays on July 30 in exchange for RHP David Phelps and cash considerations...Registered a 2.80 ERA (1 ER/35.1 IP) while recording 34 strikeouts and just two walks over 35.1 innings pitched for the Fisher Cats...Ended the year with a season-high 11 strikeouts and no walks on Aug. 29 vs. Trenton (7.0 IP, 3H, 2ER)...After the season, was added to Toronto's 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft.

Spent season with Double-A Tennessee and posted a 3.82 ERA while going 8-6 over 26 starts, including two completegame efforts...Was named a Southern League Mid-Season All-Star.

In his first pro season, made 26 starts for Single-A Myrtle Beach ... named Cubs Minor League Pitcher of the Month for June, going 3-2 with a 0.98 ERA (3 ER/27.2 IP) in five starts... All told, went 5-11 with a 4.04 ERA (56 ER/124.2 IP) in his 26 outings ... allowed just two homers in 477 opponent at-bats, walked 50 and struck out 126 hitters... Walked three or fewer in 24 of his 26 starts including each of his last 18 outings from May 22 through season's end... Pitched to a 1.26 ERA (6 ER/43.0 IP) in eight starts from May 22-July 3 ... held opponents to a .230 average and a .290 on-base percentage... Struck out a season-high 13 batters in 5.1 innings, May 28 at Carolina.
