John Nickolas joined the Phillies organization in July 2003 and was named senior vice president and chief financial officer on July 1, 2017. John oversees all financial aspects of the club’s operations as well as business analytics, Florida operations at BayCare Ballpark and minor league franchise business operations. In addition, he currently serves as a trustee of Major League Baseball’s Non-Uniformed Personnel Pension Plan and chairs the MLB Eastern Region Finance group.

A 1985 graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia, John graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from West Chester University in 1990. He has served as a member of West Chester University’s Business School Advisory Council and a trustee of the university’s foundation. John has been a guest speaker for various organizations and universities in the Philadelphia area.

Prior to joining the Phillies, John served in a variety of financial and operational roles for Internet Capital Group, Inc., Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. and KPMG LLP. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

John and his wife Pam reside in Newtown Square, Pa., with the family’s two Shih Tzus, Daisey and Duke. They have two adult sons, John and Michael.

Shannon Snellman was promoted to vice president, finance and controller in August 2022. Originally a summer accounting intern with the Phillies at the Vet and Citizens Bank Park, Shannon rejoined the club 10 years later in September 2014 as manager, financial reporting and analysis. She was promoted to director, finance in October 2017 and then had controller responsibilities added to her title in 2021 prior to being named to her current position. She began her career as an auditor for Ernst & Young and held various roles at Endo Pharmaceuticals before returning to the Phillies.

As controller, Shannon’s main responsibilities include overseeing the daily responsibilities of the accounting and payroll functions, including quarterly and annual financial statements, financial reporting to Major League Baseball, budgeting and forecasting, taxes, treasury, accounts receivable and accounts payable. She holds an active CPA license in the state of Pennsylvania.

Born and raised in Lancaster, Pa., Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting at La Salle University, where she was on the field hockey team. She is a current member of the La Salle Accounting Advisory Council.

Shannon lives in Media, Pa., with her husband Bryan and their three children, Charley, Laney and Colby.

Daniel K. Fitzpatrick, a commercial banking executive with more than 30 years of experience, is President of Citizens Mid-Atlantic Region.

He serves on Citizens Financial Group’s Executive Leadership Group, the company’s senior leadership team. Citizens Financial Group is headquartered in Providence, R.I.

Fitzpatrick, a native of Northeast Philadelphia, is a former chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and serves on its executive committee, its Greater Philadelphia Energy Action Team, and its CEO Council for Growth. As chairman of the CEO Council’s Human Capital Working Group, Fitzpatrick has focused on collaborating with public, private, and nonprofit partners to provide workforce development solutions and opportunities to disadvantaged populations. Fitzpatrick is also a member of the Board of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and a member of the Heinz History Museum Board in Pittsburgh.

Fitzpatrick serves as Chairman of Philadelphia Works, Inc., Philadelphia’s workforce development corporation. He is also a Vice President of the Board of The Union League of Philadelphia and a member of the Board of The Wistar Institute. Fitzpatrick serves on the board and executive committee of The Satell Institute. He is also a member of the executive board of Elementary Education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and serves on the University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center Innovation Advisory Board and is a member of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Corporate Council. Fitzpatrick is a former member of the board of trustees of La Salle University and served on the advisory board of Drexel University’s College of Engineering.

Dan has had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors of The Union League of Philadelphia since 2017 and as a Vice President since 2020. Dan is currently Vice President of Companion Amenities. Dan is a member of the Frederick Douglas Affinity Table and is also a member of Union League Torresdale and a founding member of Union League National Golf Club.

As a result of Fitzpatrick’s community efforts, he and Citizens have received numerous community awards from such organizations as the Commodore Barry Award, the Police Athletic League Award, Philadelphia Academies Inc, the Greater Philadelphia YMCA, the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation and the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians. In 2016, Fitzpatrick was named an Emerging Icon in Financial Services by The Philadelphia Inquirer. Dan received the Lifetime Achievement award from City & State’s Annual Pennsylvania Fifty over 50 Awards, honoring Pennsylvania’s most prominent leaders. Dan was also named one of 2021’s Most Admired CEOs by the Philadelphia Business Journal, recognizing the region’s top executives.

Fitzpatrick earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from La Salle University and an MBA from Drexel University. He is a CPA and a Chartered Financial Analyst. Fitzpatrick lives in Philadelphia, Pa., with his wife Beth and they have four adult children.

Lauren Holden is an audit partner at KPMG. She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and then began her career in public accounting. Lauren specializes in providing audit services to public and private companies, primarily in the energy, natural resources and chemicals industries. She has a wide range of experience with technical accounting topics and SEC filings, including multiple IPOs and equity and debt offerings.

In addition to her client work, Lauren actively recruits and develops the next generation of KPMG. She is an alumna of the KPMG Executive Leadership Institute for Women and co-lead’s the Philadelphia Chapter of the KPMG Network of Women.

Born and raised in Maryland, she now considers Philadelphia home!

Kenny started with the Phillies while still in high school in 1999, serving as both an intern in the Outreach Department and a game day employee for the Phillies Fan Clubs. While attending Villanova University the following years, he continued his office internship at the Phillies during each of his summers off from school until graduating in 2004.

In 2007, Kenny joined the Outreach Department as a full time Representative. Along with his colleagues in his department, he has been involved in the planning and implementation of many programs during the season that are geared towards evolving baseball fans. These programs range from Phillies Coaches’ Clinics and the Phillies Baseball Academy for kids, to high school and collegiate showcase tournaments for teens and young adults, to Batting Challenges and mini-Fantasy Camps for corporate sponsors. He has also overseen the operations of the Phillies Fan Clubs and managed its staff of game day employees.

Kenny now works in conjunction with the Phillies Outreach, Events and Sales Departments to plan and promote outreach and community focused events at the Ballpark and around the city, as well as to keep the Phillies connected with Philadelphia’s diverse communities. He also assists with the Phillies front office recruitment efforts and manages the Phillies high school internship program. Kenny currently serves on the PHL Diversity Advisory Board, the Healthy NewsWorks Advisory Board and the UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball Committee.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Kenny continues to reside in his native region.

Mickey Morandini transitioned to his role as club ambassador in 2018. He had spent the previous two years with the team as first base coach and baserunning instructor.

Prior to joining the major league staff, Mickey spent five years in the Phillies minor league system as a coach for triple-A Lehigh Valley and double-A Reading and manager for single-A Lakewood and single-A Williamsport. He also spent four years as head coach for the Valparaiso High School varsity baseball team.

A 1995 National League All-Star, Mickey played nine of his 11 major league seasons (1990-2000) with the Phillies and was a member of the 1993 NL champions. He ranks fourth in Phillies history in most games played at second base (926) and was the recipient of the Paul Owens Award in 1989 as the best player in the Phillies minor league system. Mickey was originally selected by the Phillies in the fifth round of the June 1988 draft out of Indiana University. As an amateur, he won a gold medal as a member of the 1988 Olympic baseball team.

Born in Leechburg, Pa., Mickey and his wife Peg currently live in Glen Mills, Pa. They have three sons: Jordan, Griffin and Braydon.

An outfielder for the 1993 National League champs and hitting coach for the 2008 World Series champions, Milt Thompson returned to the Phillies organization as a community club ambassador in March 2022. In this role, he serves as a club resource for community outreach with an emphasis on youth baseball and softball development, working with the Phillies RBI program and the Phillies Urban Youth Academy.

Milt previously served the Phillies as major league hitting coach (2005-10) following one season as first base coach (2004). From 2005-09, Milt guided Phillies hitters to the National League lead in home runs, RBI, runs, extra-base hits and total bases. He also served as a coach on the NL All-Star team in 2009.

Originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of Howard University in 1979, Milt played 18 years of professional baseball, including 13 seasons in the majors with the Braves (1984-85), Phillies (1986, 1993-94), St. Louis Cardinals (1989-92), Houston Astros (1994-95), Los Angeles Dodgers (1996) and Colorado Rockies (1996). He hit .313 with six RBI in 1993 World Series and set a Phillies record with five RBI in Game 4 at Veterans Stadium.

Milt began his coaching career in 1997 as minor league outfield/baserunning coordinator for Tampa Bay before joining the Phillies minor league system as a coach at Reading (1998-99) and outfield/baserunning coordinator (2001-03).

Born in Washington, D.C., Milt lives in Sewell, N.J. with his wife Carole. He has four daughters: Torri, Jennifer, Courtney and Alyssa.
