Q. What should my child wear to the clinic?
A. Your child is encouraged to wear baseball or softball practice gear or athletic gear. Please be mindful of the elements when preparing for the clinic.
Q. Will water be provided or should my child bring their own?
A. Please bring your own water for the clinic. Water is typically not provided, so please be sure that your child has enough water to stay hydrated.
Q. Do I have to stay during the clinic or can I pick my child up at the end of the clinic?
A. You are welcome to stay at the event and watch the clinic – you may even learn something! If you need to leave, please return 45 minutes prior to the end time of the clinic. Once your child has completed the player autograph station they are free to leave with their parent/guardian.
Q. What if my child does not have baseball equipment?
A. We provide bats and have a few extra gloves to utilize during the clinic. There is not a live-hitting portion of the clinic, therefore a batting helmet is not necessary.
Q. Can my child wear cleats or sneakers?
A. Yes, they can wear cleats or sneakers. On certain fields, cleats are not allowed and sneakers must be utilized. If this is the case, you will be notified via email before the clinic.
Q. Do I have to provide a pen and baseball for the autograph session?
A. No, the MLBPAA will provide a brand new Rawlings baseball to each participant for the autograph session and the MLB players will utilize their own pens.
Q. Which MLB players will be at the clinic?
A. The list of MLB players changes each clinic. When you check-in at your clinic, you can see a full list of players who will be instructing. The clinic also begins with introductions of each player.
Q. What if it rains?
A. We will do all that we can to proceed with the clinic, but to keep all MLB players and participants safe, we may move to an indoor location or reschedule to another time. Participants will be notified via email.
Q. What do I do if I have not yet received an email confirmation?
A. If you have not yet received an email confirmation 24 hours after registering, please reach out to [email protected].
Q. Can my son or daughter participate in this clinic if they are new to the game of baseball?
A. Yes! This clinic focuses on the basic fundamentals of baseball. They will learn the game from professionals at the highest level in a fun-filled environment.
