Free Flow Parking - Frequently Asked Questions
ALL EVENT ATTENDEES
Q: What is Free Flow Parking?
A: A vehicle’s license plate serves as the credential for parking on event days just like many public parking options in South Florida. Vehicles will not be validated at the entrance to parking facilities through payment collection or parking pass scan. All vehicles will instead enter a parking garage or lot, subject to space availability, and proceed without validation at entrance to an available parking spot. Event attendees with prepaid parking will register their vehicle’s license plate ahead of or upon arrival via Marlins.com/Parking or ParkWhiz.com. All other event attendees will register their vehicle’s license plate and pay on site using the PayByPhone App or onsite pay station located in the lobby of each parking garage. Vehicles in parking facilities will be validated during the event based on the registration status of each vehicle’s license plate.
Q: How do event attendees pay for parking on site using PayByPhone?
A: Vehicles will not be validated at the entrance to parking facilities through payment collection or parking pass scan. Instead, all cars will enter a parking garage or surface lot, subject to availability, and proceed to an available parking spot. Event attendees will then pay and register their vehicle’s license plate via the PayByPhone App using the garage-specific identification code found on surrounding signage.
Q: How do event attendees pay for parking in advance of arrival?
A: Go to Marlins.com/Parking or the Parking icon on Marlins Page of the MLB Ballpark app to access ParkWhiz, or download the ParkWhiz app; select the game you wish to attend; select a parking location and click “Book Now”; enter payment information to complete the parking reservation; add a new vehicle/license plate; and view the purchase confirmation page.
Q: What are parking rates at loanDepot park?
A: Individual game parking rates for the Marlins season can be viewed at Marlins.com/Parking, under Pre-paid Parking; rates are dynamically set. Parking rates for special events will be posted in advance of the event.
Q: What if an event attendee forgets to pay for parking or does not register the correct vehicle license plate?
A: Vehicles in parking facilities which are invalidated during an event will be issued a promissory note to pay the event parking fee within 24 hours or the promissory note will convert to a $36.00 City of Miami parking violation citation. If you’ve received a promissory note on your dashboard upon returning to your vehicle, simply follow the steps located on the note to pay for your parking in the PayByPhone App and ensure you don’t receive a ticket violation.
Q: Can parking passes be resold through My Marlins Tickets or the MLB Ballpark App?
A: No, parking passes are not actionable through My Marlins Tickets or the MLB Ballpark as they are not eligible to be resold on secondary ticket websites
Q: Can a parking pass be transferred/forwarded to another recipient/user?
A: Parking pass holders have access to a web portal via ParkWhiz (ParkWhiz.com or via ParkWhiz App) to transfer/forward a parking pass to another recipient/user. The recipient will receive an email from ParkWhiz to add a vehicle license plate to the pass. If the recipient does not add a vehicle license plate, a reminder email will be sent to the recipient one day before the event and three hours before the event.
Q: Why have the Marlins elected to implement Free Flow Parking?
A: Parking and traffic are topics frequently cited as points of frustration by attendees related to attending events at loanDepot park and other sport and entertainment venues. Free Flow Parking aims to mitigate traffic and congestion around the ballpark to create a better experience for event attendees. This parking approach also seeks to minimize carbon emissions and fuel consumption from vehicles idling in traffic. loanDepot park is the first facility in professional sports to adopt this free-flow method of parking at all on-site parking facilities.

These unique codes can be used to claim a parking pass for any of the 81 Marlins Home Games during the 2024 regular season. Parking passes must be claimed for any game a Marlins Member or their guest(s) are attending. Parking passes can be claimed via the ParkWhiz App, ParkWhiz.com or Marlins.com/Parking. A: Marlins Members with predetermined Valet Parking Passes will NOT have coupon codes eligible for Valet. Instead, Marlins Members with Valet Parking have ticketed parking passes that can be scanned at the Valet Parking access point in the Home Plate Garage. Different from coupon codes, Valet parking passes are specific to each game in a Marlins Member’s plan schedule. Marlins Members with Valet parking passes cannot park in general parking spaces.
Q: Can parking passes be resold through My Marlins Tickets or the MLB Ballpark app?
A: No, parking passes are not actionable through My Marlins Tickets or the MLB Ballpark as they are not eligible to be resold on secondary ticket websites.
