Whether through grassroots programs that help reach people of all ages to working with local organizations and federations, the aim is to create the right opportunities to play baseball and develop talent all over the world.
Global Programs
MLB Cup is a youth league competition for those that have started playing baseball on a regular basis. The tournament is designed to offer an enhanced experience and a taste of the big leagues for all involved.
Local Programs
MLB Dream Cup is Japan's largest amateur baseball tournament offering participants a flavor of what it is like to play in the big leagues. With over 15,000 players and 700 teams participating a year, the tournament is unlike any other in baseball. The championship rounds take place in premier baseball stadiums - 2019's tournament ended at Petco Park in San Diego.
Development Centers are MLB affiliated baseball/softball clubs and hubs that are focused on delivering best practices for coaching, play programs and facilities. These Centers are where grassroots activities meet elite development. The Centers are rooted in community outreach and organization as they act as a focal point for baseball/softball activity within each region.
