Experience America's Game, San Francisco style
And while Oracle Park has all the iconic features that make baseball America's Game, such as hotdogs, beer and "Take me out to the BallGame" being sung, it is also a distinctly San Franciscan experience.Â
It is both home to a vibrant community of passionate fans, and a venue rich in history, despite only nearing its 20th birthday.Â
It is designed to be explored, filled with surprises, and so much more than just a ballpark.Â
The Essentials
When is Baseball Season?
The MLB season runs from March until the end of September. If you're travelling to San Francisco outside these dates, you can always get a behind-the-scenes look at this majestic venue by taking one of the Ballpark Tours that run year-round.
Where is it?
Just 13 minutes from downtown by public transport, or a delightful 20-minute walk from the Ferry Building, Oracle Park is one of the most accessible tourist destinations in San Francisco.
No matter where you're coming from in the Bay Area, CalTrain, Muni and BART all service stations near the ballpark. Our best piece of advice: avoid driving if you can - it will make for a far more pleasurable experience!
Where should I sit?
Most Scenic: Known as the View Level, the top level behind home plate (Sections 302-320) offers stunning views of San Francisco Bay and the field of play.
Most Fun: If you want a more relaxed atmosphere, the Bleachers (sections 136-142) are the place to be and definitely have a more social vibe.
Most Affordable: The View Level (the top one) always has affordable seats in right field (304-307) or left field (332-336).
Most Flexible: Anywhere! Wherever your assigned seats are, you will always get the most out of the ballpark by taking some time to explore the ballpark and everything it has to offer!
Food you need to try...
Gilroy Garlic Fries - You'll smell these before you see them and good luck resisting their oily, garlicy charms. They are the iconic Oracle Park dish, just make sure you don't end up on the KissCam afterwards….Â
Impossible Burger - What could be more SF than eating the world's first plant-based, lab-grown non-beef patty that tastes exactly like beef? Nothing, that's what.Â
Crazy Crab Sandwich - A favorite amongst visitors and locals, the sandwich consists of fresh crab meat, mayonnaise, and sliced tomatoes served between buttered sourdough bread. Crab + sourdough bread = San Francisco eats!
CREAM Ice Cream Sandwiches - This local ice creamery is the perfect dessert for those of you with room left. Choose from cookie or brownie as the "bread" and then select your instantly-Instagrammable ice cream sandwich! Â
Unique Features
One of the more unique features of Oracle Park is The Garden, a literal, functional, open-air garden, situated under the scoreboard, with two eateries and a bar, all serving produce sourced directly from the garden itself!Â
