Rob Weinheimer joined the D-backs in 1997, and is currently Vice President, Production and Presentation, where he oversees all video content creation for the organization in addition to in-game entertainment at Chase Field.
Weinheimer began his career with the D-backs as one of the franchise’s first interns in 1997 before serving as a production assistant and traveling producer for “D-backs on Deck,” the team’s pregame show. In 2007, he took on responsibility for the Game Operations Department and the following year, he oversaw the team’s transition to HD, including the addition of new scoreboards, control rooms and editing suites. In 2009, he added oversight of all video production for the franchise.
Over the last 26 seasons, Weinheimer has worked more than 3,000 live sporting events including the D-backs’ inaugural game in 1998, the 2001 World Series, 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and 2014 Opening Series in Sydney, Australia. The 2023 season began with the World Baseball Classic and continued all the way to the World Series. He has overseen audio and video elements of numerous non-baseball events at Chase Field including Monster Trucks, SuperCross, Drone Racing League, Topgolf Live, several college football bowl games, concerts and more.
A native of New York City, Weinheimer graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University, where he is now a Faculty Associate.
He and his wife, Sharyn, reside in Ahwatukee with their children, Bryce and Emma.
