Jeff Jacobs joined the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2000 and currently serves as the Vice President, Project Management. He is responsible for the organization’s procurement program including project management for facility upgrades and improvements. He also oversees operational functions such as the organization’s worker’s compensation program and the team’s Spring Training facility – Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
With a background in financial efficiency, Jacobs brings an analytical approach to project management for the D-backs. He led the project management team for several large-scale ventures such as Caesar’s Sportsbook at Guy Fieri’s Downtown Phoenix Kitchen + Bar and a state-of-the-art hitting & pitching lab for the baseball operations team at Salt River Fields. Jacobs has continued overseeing the operations of the Sportsbook and restaurant after its grand opening in June 2022. He is also the project manager for the planning and construction of a new baseball academy in the Dominican Republic. In addition, Jacobs serves the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation as the lead for the ‘Diamonds Back’ Youth Field Building Program where he has managed the construction or renovation of 44 youth baseball and softball fields across the state of Arizona.
Jacobs’ career began in the team’s community relations department where he assisted in the development of the youth baseball outreach camps and clinics. He transitioned into the financial management field through a role in the baseball operations department before building the D-backs procurement program.
Jacobs is a graduate of Arizona State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the W.P. Carey School of Business and his MBA in Sports Business in ASU’s inaugural class.
Jacobs is an Arizona native and lives in Tempe.
