Craig Bradley joined the D-backs in 1997, and is currently the VP, Finance. He works closely with executive management, oversees all Club financial operations and is a member of the Risk Management Committee.
Joining the team in September 1997 as Business Manager of Baseball Operations, Bradley worked with baseball leadership in setting up the Minor League system, Dominican Academy, scouting and Major League operations. He oversaw the completion and start-up of the original Tucson training complex and consulted on the development of the facility at Salt River Fields. In 1999, he devised, implemented and managed an injury/worker’s compensation claim management program that is proactive from the time an injury occurs through the doctor’s final clearance. To this day, the D-backs consistently have the lowest worker’s compensation losses in baseball.
Moving from baseball operations to finance in 2004, Bradley became the Controller to gain more experience and perspective on the operational and financial functions of the entire business. Promoted to VP, Finance in 2006, Bradley works closely with the EVP/CFO on debt management, cash forecasting, financial planning, ownership and tax matters and business operations in general. In 2012, with the intent to increase community volunteerism amongst D-backs employees, identify and develop leaders, and build upon D-backs culture, Bradley created the D-backs Give Back League (DGBL). Over 100 employees formed nine teams, with each team creating a plan to reach into the community. From homelessness, to foster care, youth education, at risk populations, and the hungry, the DGBL’s impact was tremendous. Bradley was awarded the D-backs’ first-ever Innovation Award for his efforts.
A CPA, Bradley worked as the Asst. GM, Business Operations for the Phoenix Firebirds of the Pacific Coast League from 1994-97. With the Firebirds, he was responsible for game and stadium operations, season tickets, ticket operations and merchandising.
After graduating from Arizona State University in 1988, he joined the firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. before moving into the construction and manufacturing industries. He played baseball for the Sun Devils from 1983-85, earning a junior varsity letter.
Bradley is an active committee member of the U.S. Center for Safe Sport and is a founding board member of About Care, Inc. He has two daughters, Cecilia and Olivia.
