PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated LHP Madison Bumgarner from the 10-day injured list (mid-back strain) and optioned INF Andy Young to the Alternate Training Site.

Bumgarner, 31, will be making his fifth start with the D-backs this season and first since Aug. 9 @ Padres. He played 11 seasons with the Giants (2009-19) and will be facing San Francisco for the first time today.

Young, 26, has appeared in 12 games with Arizona in 2020, hitting .192 (5-for-26) with 2 doubles, 1 home run and 4 RBI.
