MILWAUKEE -- D-backs center fielder Jarrod Dyson took a three-run homer away from Milwaukee's Domingo Santana with a leaping catch above the wall in center to end the fourth inning of a 1-0 loss on Tuesday night at Miller Park.
With the game scoreless, Lorenzo Cain singled to left with two outs for the Brewers' first hit of the game off Matt Koch. Travis Shaw walked. Santana, who had one of the Brewers three homers in Monday's 4-2 victory, ripped the first pitch to deep center, but the speedy Dyson timed his leap perfectly, and made the grab with glove over the yellow line atop the wall.
"Actually, I thought it was like just a routine popup. I kind of came in and I realized that ball was hit farther than what it looked. I just went back and tried to make a play on it and was able to grab it," Dyson said. "Anytime I'm out there, I'm just trying to make plays to save my pitcher from throwing another pitch."

As an outfielder himself, Santana appreciated Dyson's catch.
"Even after I saw that video, man, he took a couple of steps forward and then he went back," said Santana, who eventually drove in the game-winning run with a sixth-inning sacrifice fly. "He gathered himself and made a great catch. Next time, I hope I can hit it on a line."
D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said he has seen Dyson make those kind of plays before.
"That's the second or third catch that he's made like that," Lovullo said. "He's an exceptional outfielder. It didn't surprise me. He gauged it, ran up to the wall, made a great play. It was a very, very impressive play at a great time for us."
