PHOENIX -- D-backs pitching coach Brent Strom, assistant pitching coach Dan Carlson and bullpen coach Mike Fetters will not return in their current roles in 2025.

The club has not announced any moves with regards to the coaching staff, but it did confirm the news.

The D-backs ranked 27th in the Majors with a 4.62 ERA in 2024 thanks in part to a slew of injuries, particularly in the starting rotation.

Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly, Ryne Nelson, Eduardo Rodriguez and Jordan Montgomery all missed time due to injuries. Montgomery, who was signed just after the season opened, struggled mightily and eventually lost his spot in the rotation. He finished with a 6.23 ERA in 25 games (21 starts).

Strom was hired by the D-backs prior to the 2022 season after being with the Astros from '14-21. The hiring was looked at as a coup given the tremendous success he'd had throughout his career.

Carlson had been a part of the D-backs' organization for 23 seasons, serving as a Minor League pitching coach from 2002-13 and the organization's pitching coordinator from '14-21. He was named assistant pitching coach in '22.

Fetters pitched for the D-backs in 2002 and '04 and served as the team's quality control coach from '13-16 before being promoted to bullpen coach in '17.
