Indians-Blue Jays finale postponed by rain
The Indians and Blue Jays have been postponed due to inclement weather for a second straight day.
Cleveland will next play on Tuesday, opening a series as the visiting team against the Twins in San Juan, Puerto Rico, while the Blue Jays return home to host the Royals on Monday.
Blue Jays lefty Jaime Garcia, who was originally scheduled to start Saturday's game, has now been pushed back to start Monday's series opener at home against the Royals. Lefty J.A. Happ will follow on Tuesday and right-hander Aaron Sanchez will start the series finale on Wednesday.
Sunday's scheduled series finale in Cleveland will now be played on May 3 -- the same day as the makeup for Saturday's rainout. The two games will be played as a traditional doubleheader. The first game of the doubleheader is slated to start at 1:10 p.m. ET, with gates opening at noon.
Fans with tickets to Sunday's game can exchange them for tickets to the May 3 doubleheader, which includes admission to both games, beginning on Thursday at Indians.com. But those exchanges are subject to availability, as the fans who had tickets to Saturday's postponed game will be given priority for the doubleheader.
Those fans who had tickets for Sunday that cannot exchange them for tickets to the May 3 doubleheader will instead be able to exchange them for one of two games: the Indians' game on Sunday, June 17 against the Twins or their game Wednesday, June 20 against the White Sox. All the exchanges have to be made by midnight on April 27.
