TORONTO -- Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins has had his contract extended, a source told MLB.com.

When Atkins joined Toronto in the 2015 offseason, he signed with the organization for four years, bringing him to the end of the current season.

The club has not yet commented or confirmed the extension, which Sportsnet reports would keep Atkins at least through the 2020 season.
