On Saturday, February 6, 2021 the Toronto Blue Jays and Jays Care Foundation are hosting a Virtual Challenger Baseball Winter Jamboree! Don’t miss out: register today if you and your family are eligible!
Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program designed specifically to empower children, youth and adults living with cognitive and/or physical disabilities by teaching core life-skills inherent to baseball, including: teamwork, communication, determination, resiliency, inclusion, leadership and courage. The Jamboree is open to all existing Challenger Baseball families, along with children, youth and adults living with disabilities who are curious about joining a Challenger Baseball program in their community.
For current Challenger Baseball athletes, the Jamboree will be a great chance to connect with other athletes and families from across the country and participate in a series of fun activities designed to help you train and feel like a Toronto Blue Jays player. Families who are new to Challenger Baseball with a child, youth or adult living with or without a cognitive and/or physical disability are welcome to register for this event and experience the fun of a Challenger Baseball Jamboree for the first time!
In order to ensure that every Challenger Baseball athlete can participate to their fullest potential, all activities will include modifications, adaptations, and accessibility options (ASL, closed captioning, translation etc.) to set participants up for success.
