Slice Brothers Pizza is Minneapolis's first Black-owned pizzeria. As their business has grown to multiple locations across the Twin Cities, owners Hosie Thurmond and Adam Kado have continued to find ways to give back to the communities they were raised in—including partnering with the City of St. Paul to create the "Slice for St. Paul Kids" literacy incentive program that offers pizza vouchers to kids achieving their reading goals.

CEO and principal scientist Della Schall Young guides responsible development for our natural and built spaces while also helping create a more diverse workforce by championing STEM education and women's mentorship.
Nashke protects and celebrates the Ojibwe language and culture through board games, card games, and puzzles. Nashke and its owner, Tony Drews, use game play as a vehicle for language preservation, uplifting the community and upholding tradition. Nashke hosts game nights at schools across the state, provides consulting services to school districts interested in incorporating Native language and culture into their curriculum, and donates 50% of operating profit to scholarships and community programs for Native youth in Minnesota.
