Red Sox Sales Academy

The Red Sox Sales Academy began in April 2013, with the inaugural class of 13 Inside Sales Representatives who established the groundwork for success which extends to this day. The goal of the Sales Academy is to grow future sports and entertainment sales leaders. We work hard, have fun, celebrate success, and own a spirit of career growth and development.

To date, over 50 Academy alumni have been promoted within the front office of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Sports Management, and around the sports world.

The Sales Academy consists of four groups:

  • Junior Sales Associates (an 11-month program, July to June)
  • Inside Sales Representatives (full-time two year commitment)
  • Special Events
  • Premium Season Ticket Account Executives

Junior Sales

In the summer of 2018, the Red Sox created the "Junior Sales Academy" to give recent college graduates the opportunity to grow into future sports and entertainment professionals. Responsibilities include selling all inventory at Fenway Park with a primary focus on season ticket sales, along with group tickets, premium suites, and special events. Junior Sales Associates serve an 11-month term working on-site at Fenway Park alongside the full-time sales team.

Characteristics/Qualifications
  • Strong desire to break into sports as a sales professional
  • Must be a team player, have a competitive spirt, and be self-motivated
  • Look forward to the opportunity to work flexible hours at Fenway Park including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to work the full length of the position
Career Development

To put it simply, there will be no shortage of training, sales role plays, and much more to ensure our Junior Sales Associates are as prepared as humanly possible to represent themselves and the Boston Red Sox to the fullest.

We spend the first 10-14 days training everything from product knowledge to the history of the Red Sox and Fenway Park to phone and sales presentation training. A detailed and more specific schedule is provided to our JSAs on their first day.
