SVP/Chief Communications Officer, Fenway Sports Group & Boston Red Sox
Zineb Curran is a Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Sports Management (FSM), and Fenway Sports Group Real Estate (FSGRE). In her role, she also assists with major announcements for parent company Fenway Sports Group.
With nearly 20 years of public relations and corporate communications experience, Curran oversees the day-to-day communications efforts for Fenway Sports Group Boston, comprised of the Red Sox, FSM, and FSGRE, and is responsible for all major announcements, the promotion of high-profile events, and crisis communications management. Curran also serves as a spokesperson on important press matters.
As a member of the Executive Management Committee, Curran acts as a strategic partner and thought leader to members of senior leadership. She is also a member of the Social Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, which aims to use the organization's platforms to promote and amplify racial and social justice causes and develop sustainable initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Curran joined the Red Sox in May 2011 and throughout most of her tenure, oversaw corporate communications for the club. During her time, the organization has experienced several franchise milestones including two World Series Championships, a franchise-record-setting 108-win regular season in 2018, the celebration of Fenway Park's 100th anniversary, and the opening of a state-of-the-art Spring Training complex, JetBlue Park.
Prior to joining the Red Sox, Curran managed proactive public relations strategy for Fidelity Investments from 2009-2011. She served as Senior Media Relations Specialist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston from 2006-2009 and began her career as a writer and producer for WCVB-TV's Emmy Award-winning newscasts in 2003.
Originally from Casablanca, Morocco, Curran graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in Journalism. She currently lives in the Greater Boston area with her husband and two children.
