July 30: Despite significant interest, Snell stays with Giants
Although they traded away Jorge Soler, Alex Cobb and Luke Jackson prior to the Trade Deadline, the Giants opted to hold onto Snell despite reportedly receiving a ton of interest in the left-hander.

Snell is owed $30 million in 2024, but he can opt out of his contract to become a free agent. After signing with the Giants shortly before Opening Day, Snell got off to a rough start in 2024, posting a 9.51 ERA over his first six starts and making two trips to the injured list.

However, he has recorded a 0.75 ERA with 30 strikeouts over 24 innings in four starts since returning from the IL on July 9, leading to a number of clubs reportedly checking in on his availability.
