Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Jeff Miller joined the Texas Rangers as Vice President, Human Resources in September 2020 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in January 2024. He leads the HR team responsible for people strategy, employee engagement, benefits administration, compensation, risk management, and employee life cycle management including recruiting and onboarding/offboarding of staff.
Miller joined the Rangers after 26 years in Houston leading the people function at two oilfield service companies and a 19-year career with Insperity, a professional employer organization providing outsourced HR services for businesses. He started his career at a small educational publishing company in Carrolton where he was the manager responsible for all front office operations.
Jeff grew up in Dallas, where he attended JJ Pearce High School. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration where he also won third place on America’s Funniest People tv show his sophomore year. Jeff and his wife Angela live in Dallas and have four grown children – three in the DFW area: Brian (31), Alec (27) and Abbey (22), and one son Zach (29) currently living and working in Bristol, England.
