The Rangers Nike RBI season will be here soon, and with that comes free-agent tryouts, allowing newly registered athletes to showcase their skills for coaches looking to fill their rosters.

Athletes 13-18 will compete in the no-cost competitive baseball and softball summer league at the Texas Rangers’ West Dallas Youth Academy. More than two dozen teams comprise the league, which features the junior and senior baseball and softball divisions playing multiple days per week from mid-May through August.

Each established team’s roster features select returning players, while new teams and those looking to fill out the remainder of their lineup, will rely on the upcoming evaluations to draft players not yet assigned to a team.

The team tryouts will feature several skills drills and simulation plays for league coaches to evaluate participants and see what they bring to the diamond.

Free-Agent Evaluation Schedule:

• Nike RBI Senior Baseball Division – Saturday, April 20, at 8:30 a.m.
• Nike RBI Senior Softball Division – Saturday, April 20, at noon
• Nike RBI Junior Baseball Division – Saturday, April 27, at 8:30 a.m.
• Nike RBI Junior Softball Division – Saturday, April 27, at noon
