Texas Rangers host 2021 Equipment Drive during the month of August
Lightly used equipment and monetary donations will be accepted at Globe Life Field and online through Saturday, Aug. 28.
Arlington, Texas— The 2021 Texas Rangers Equipment Drive, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors, Bally Sports Southwest and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, has officially begun. Fans can make online and in-person donations through Saturday, Aug. 28, to provide equipment to area youth.
This year marks the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation’s 17th annual Equipment Drive and continued commitment to support youth athletics. In his fourth year as honorary chairman, shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa will co-chair the event with Texas Rangers Rookie and 2021 All-Star, Adolis García.
Gently used baseball and softball equipment can be donated at the Grand Slam Team Store inside Globe Life Field through Aug. 27. On Aug. 28, when the Rangers host the Houston Astros, donations will be accepted from 3:30 to 6 p.m. outside Globe Life Field at the TXU Energy North Plaza, Southeast, Comerica Northeast, and Toyota Southwest Entrances.
Fans may also make monetary donations online to purchase baseball and softball equipment which will be given to athletes at the Texas Rangers Youth Academy. Several donation tiers are available, including a $25 donation that will provide one baseball cap, $45 will provide a box of baseballs or softballs, $75 will provide a glove, $150 for a bucket of baseballs, or $200 for one baseball or softball bat. In addition, Academy Sports + Outdoors will be donating $2,500 in gift cards to the Texas Rangers Youth Academy, with $500 being awarded to the 2021 Youth of the Year.
