ARLINGTON -- They say everything is bigger in Texas, so it’s only right that there were some big stars on hand at Globe Life Field on Thursday, when the Rangers unveiled their 2024 All-Star Game logo.

The club will host the Midsummer Classic at Globe Life Field next year in what will be the ballpark's fifth season, and Rangers 2023 All-Star third baseman Josh Jung, along with Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez and Kenny Rogers, the All-Star battery from 1995, were all on hand for the logo reveal emceed by Texas Rangers Hall of Fame PA announcer Chuck Morgan.

The logo is meant to be a celebration of not only the city of Arlington, but the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as a whole and the entire state of Texas. To no one's surprise, the logo features an outline of the state of Texas with the Lone Star positioned as the hyphen in the typography of the words “All-Star Game,” which is also in the Rangers’ own iconic font. It is all adorned in the club’s red color, with navy blue, powder blue and bronze accents.

The 2024 event will be just the second time Texas hosts the Midsummer Classic (1995), but the first time in the new ballpark, which opened in 2020.

Commissioner Rob Manfred said the Rangers willingness and ability to host the 2020 World Series during the pandemic was of “great consideration” when looking for a place to host the 2024 All-Star Game.

“We're really looking forward to a great All-Star Game here in 2024,” Manfred said. “One of the reasons for that is that Globe Life Field is an unbelievable, state-of-the-art facility. The work that Ray Davis and Neil Leibman and the city of Arlington did to get this ballpark built, they deserve tremendous, tremendous credit. The All-Star Game -- we just completed a great one in Seattle -- has become a week-long celebration of baseball. It's really our best event.”

A lot has changed since the Rangers last hosted the event at the Ballpark in Arlington in 1995, the biggest of which is a brand-new stadium. Everything in the All-Star Game is bigger and better than it was 20 years ago.

All the All-Star Week festivities, including the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, the Celebrity Softball Game, the T-Mobile  Home Run Derby, the MLB Draft, PLAY BALL Park and even the All-Star Red Carpet will all find a home in the expanded Arlington Entertainment District, which was not around in the same way in 1995.

MLB will have the use of three stadiums in the area -- Globe Life Field, Choctaw Stadium (formerly The Ballpark in Arlington) and AT&T Stadium -- as well as the potential use of the E-Sports Stadium at the renovated Arlington Convention Center.

“We're very honored to have the crown jewel of baseball coming here in July of 2024,” said Davis, the Rangers' managing partner and majority owner. “It took a lot of work for a lot of years leading up to it. We're really looking forward to holding it here.”

Davis added at the end of the festivities: "I'd like to say that [general manager] Chris Young is going to do everything he can to make sure that Bruce Bochy is managing the American League next year."
