History

Spanning the last 24 years, the renowned home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Park, has served as a cornerstone for many pivotal Rangers moments. Dating back to the fall of 1990, groundbreaking for a new ballpark in Arlington, Texas, became official through an agreement with the Texas Rangers and the City of Arlington, Texas.

23 months later, a 270-acre, state-of-the-art facility erected, Globe Life Park drew and expanded a new and existing fan base to the Southwest. In April 1994, gates opened to celebrate the first regular-season game in the new ballpark for the Texas Rangers.

First came Ameriquest Field, then Rangers Ballpark in Arlington in 2007, and finally the ballpark earned the renowned name of Globe Life Park in Arlington, seven years later in 2014.

Since 1994, Globe Life Park has seen back-to-back World Series, seven division championships, an All-Star Game, to a perfect game, walk-off home runs and highlight-reel plays. The Texas Rangers are lucky all of these moments have been shared with the best fans in baseball.
