Cody Daniel Bradford...he and his wife, Madi, were married on 12/15/19…visited and delivered gifts to patients at Memorial City Children’s Hospital during the 2023 offseason…was honored by his hometown of Aledo, Texas, last December after Aledo High School created a scholarship in Bradford’s name and Bradford’s number 18 jersey was retired.

Rookie went 4-3, 5.30 ERA (33 ER/56.0 IP) with 51 strikeouts over 20 G/8 GS in his first Major League action… had his contract selected from Round Rock (AAA) on 5/15 and made his Major League debut that night vs. Atlanta (L, 5.0 IP, 7 H, 6 R-ER, 2 BB, 3 SO, 2 HR)…was optioned to Round Rock on 5/16 before being recalled again on 5/27 and making start on 5/28 at BAL (ND, 5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R-ER, 1 BB, 5 SO)… optioned again on 5/29 before third recall 6/19…went 2-0, 3.60 ERA (12 ER/30.0 IP) across 10 games/4 starts in June and July, earning his first MLB win on 7/7 at WSH (5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R-ER, 1 BB, 1 SO, 1 HR)…optioned on 8/1, but was recalled for fourth and final time on 9/1 as rosters expanded…was 2-2, 7.31 (13 ER/16.0 IP) in 8 G/2 GS in September to end season…performed better as a reliever, going 3-0 with a 2.82 ERA (7 ER/22.1 IP) in his 12 relief outings, compared to 1-3, 6.95 ERA (26 ER/33.2) in his eight starts…LHB slashed .286/.344/.429/.773, while RHB slashed .250/.279/.525/.804 against Bradford.
2022
Finished 10-7 with a 5.01 ERA (66 ER/118.2 IP) and team-high 124 strikeouts over 26 starts for Double-A Frisco…ranked among Texas organization pitching leaders in innings (second), starts (second), wins (second), and strikeouts (third), registering career bests in each of those categories...went 6-6, 6.26 ERA (54 ER/77.2 IP) over his first 19 GS, but closed by going 4-1, 2.63 ERA (12 ER/41.0 IP) over final seven GS...struck out a season-high 11 batters over 5.1 innings of work against on 6/17 vs, Midland, one of three outings in which he recorded 10+ SO…proved more effective against LHB (.226 BA) than RHB (.302 BA).
2021
Named a Texas Organizational All-Star by MiLB. com in first professional action…combined to go 6-4, 4.11 ERA (44 ER/96.1 IP) in 20 starts for Frisco (AA) and Hickory (A+)...led all Texas farmhands with 128 strikeouts and hurled 2nd-most innings (96.1) in the system (102.2-Nick Krauth)… began season with Hickory – going 4-4, 4.23 ERA (29 ER/61.2 IP) in 13 starts – and found even more success upon an 8/1 promotion to Frisco – going 2-0, 3.89 (15 ER/34.2 IP) in seven starts.

Did not see official game action after minor league season was canceled due to pandemic.

Did not pitch following his selection in the draft while recovering from thoracic outlet syndrome surgery that he underwent in March.
