He became just the third player in franchise history to record at least two hits and two RBI in his Majors debut, following Kyle Isbel on April 1, 2021 vs. Texas and Mark Quinn on Sept. 14, 1999 vs. Anaheim... In his debut, Porter became the fourth player in Royals history to record a two-run hit in his first career plate appearance, following Joel Peralta on May 20, 2007 at Colorado, Al Cowens on April 6, 1974 vs. Minnesota and Keith Marshall on April 7, 1973 at California...Caught all 9.0 innings in his Majors debut, and in tandem with Jordan Lyles, they retired the first 12 batters of the game…he became the second player in Royals history to start in his MLB debut behind the plate and reach safely three times, joining Jorge Pedre, who had three walks on Sept. 7, 1991...
