he Andre Dawson Classic is the annual, round-robin collegiate baseball tournament designed by Major League Baseball to highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their baseball programs.

Established in 2008, the Breakthrough Series is a unique program that focuses on developing the player on and off the field through seminars, mentorship, gameplay, scout evaluations, video coverage and the highest level of instruction, all while providing a platform for the players to perform for scouts and collegiate coaches. Players are also eligible to participate on the Breakthrough Series Fall Tournament team.

The Elite Development Invitational is a multi-day event designed to provide exposure and develop 64 promising female baseball athletes. Invitees are led through a series of on-field workouts, games and off-field educational sessions. The top 32 athletes from EDI will be chosen for the Breakthrough Series. Athletes are identified through MLB GRIT, Trailblazer Series and an open application.

This unique amateur development event serves as a youth-oriented, on-field diversity initiative that aims to get high school-aged players with diverse backgrounds to the next levels of the game.

The HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile highlights the history and legacy of HBCU baseball programs. Fifty Division I HBCU baseball players will get the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage. The student-athletes will be selected by a committee that will include Ken Griffey Jr., representatives from MLB and the MLBPA, and scouts.

The MLB-USA Baseball High School Home Run Derby features players from the High School All-American Game and other standout prep players from across the country.

Named for MLB Softball Ambassador Jennie Finch, the Jennie Finch Classic is a competitive 18U softball tournament that takes place annually as part of All-Star Week with teams that are mostly comprised from MLB Youth Academies.
