Shannon Snellman was promoted to vice president, finance and controller in August 2022. Originally a summer accounting intern with the Phillies at the Vet and Citizens Bank Park, Shannon rejoined the club 10 years later in September 2014 as manager, financial reporting and analysis. She was promoted to director, finance in October 2017 and then had controller responsibilities added to her title in 2021 prior to being named to her current position. She began her career as an auditor for Ernst & Young and held various roles at Endo Pharmaceuticals before returning to the Phillies.
As controller, Shannon’s main responsibilities include overseeing the daily responsibilities of the accounting and payroll functions, including quarterly and annual financial statements, financial reporting to Major League Baseball, budgeting and forecasting, taxes, treasury, accounts receivable and accounts payable. She holds an active CPA license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Born and raised in Lancaster, Pa., Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting at La Salle University, where she was on the field hockey team. She is a current member of the La Salle Accounting Advisory Council.
Shannon lives in Media, Pa., with her husband Bryan and their three children, Charley, Laney and Colby.
