Phillies Family Prepare and Deliver Warm Meals to Local Homeless Shelter

A Phillies holiday tradition of 22 years continues in support of one of the largest homeless shelters in Philadelphia. On Tuesday, Dec. 14, the Phillies family was busy prepping food and preparing holiday dinners at Citizens Bank Park, which will all be delivered to Bethesda Project’s Our Brother’s Place and later served to the more than 125 guests currently living at their shelter.

All the holiday meals are donated and prepared by Phillies front office volunteers, with The GIANT Company, Hatfield Quality Meats and Liberty Coca-Cola Beveragesgenerously providing turkey, ham and beverages. Aramark is also helping with the delivery of the meals.

The event is part of the Phillies Season of Giving, where the team’s front office is paying it forward and celebrating the holiday season with various charitable events.

Bethesda Project’s Our Brother’s Place is an emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness, providing three meals a day and supportive services, including referrals to housing and treatment programs.
