Citizens WIFFLE Ball Tournament
On Tuesday, Aug. 2, Citizens hosted a WIFFLE ball tournament at Citizens Bank Park. The tournament consisted of six coed teams from the Phillies Jr. RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) League and was played at The Yard. The night also included 2008 World Series Champion hitting coach, 1993 National League champion and Phillies Club Ambassador Milt Thompson, who participated as the celebrity umpire, as well as appearances from the Phillie Phanatic, Citizens Ballpark Bankers and Phillies Ballgirls.
Citizens sponsors the Phillies Jr. RBI League, which provides children 12 and younger from underserved areas in and around Philadelphia the opportunity to play baseball and softball.
