What's Happening This Week: Phillies vs. Padres, June 17-19

It’s the start of summer at Citizens Bank Park! Come cheer on the Phils as they return to Philadelphia to take on the San Diego Padres, June 17-19, kicking off a six-game homestand. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights:

1. The series begins on Monday, June 17, at 6:40 p.m. with Pride Night presented by The GIANT Company, celebrating Philadelphia's rich LGBTQ+ culture.

2. On Tuesday, June 18, the Phillies will take on the Padres at 6:40 p.m., featuring the debut of the first-ever collection of Phillies-branded swing sets and playhouses for fans.

  • Stop by the Third Base Gate to get a preview of the new Phillies-branded King Swings swing sets and playhouses that are now available for fans to order. These unique play sets include four distinct models: Cubby's Fort Sunday Creams, The Cottage Road Grays, The Sea King Red Pinstripes and The Palace Sportscaster. Each model is a testament to both organizations’ shared family-focused values, offering backyard fun, premium entertainment, exceptional craftsmanship, and high safety standards.

3. The Phillies close out the series with the 1:05 p.m. Citizens Businessperson’s Special on Wednesday, June 19. In celebration of Juneteenth, Citizens will present a $50,000 check to the United Negro College Fund, going toward continued education for 10 high school students.

  • It’s also HBCU Day, where fans are invited to join the Phillies in celebrating the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. There will be a celebration before the game, as well as a step show performance featuring some of the Divine Nine, at the Third Base Plaza.
  • SportsRadio 94 WIP Midday Host and HBCU alum Hugh Douglas will throw a ceremonial first pitch, and the Hollis sisters, who are local HBCU students, will sing the national anthem.
  • As part of the 20th Anniversary of Citizens Bank Park celebration, former Phillies relief pitcher Tom “Flash” Gordon will throw a ceremonial first pitch.
  • After the game, children 14 and under are invited to run the bases like a major leaguer as part of Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases!

4. Starting on Monday, stop by the New Era Phillies Team Store for exclusive merchandise to commemorate this Friday’s Toyota Cole Hamels Retirement Ceremony including a T-shirt, side patch caps, novelty baseballs, pennants, pins and more.

5. Limited tickets remain for Wednesday’s postgame Schwarber’s Block Party, 6:30-9:30 p.m., at Yards Brewing Company to benefit Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes!

  • Kyle and Paige Schwarber will be joined by Phillies teammates as well as first responders, military personnel and their family members at this fun-filled block party to give thanks and raise funds for neighborhood heroes who give to the community every day.
  • The event will feature live music and delicious food highlighting the diversity of Philly’s neighborhoods, along with silent and live auctions featuring experiences, sports memorabilia and more.

6. Bid on nearly two dozen team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia during the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction benefitting Philabundance, part of the Phans Feeding Families initiative, on phillies.com/auctions until July 1, at 6:00 p.m.

  • Auction items include baseballs, jerseys, caps, and more signed by manager Rob Thomson and players such as Aaron Nola, Nick Castellanos, Bryce Harper, J.T. Realmuto, Kyle Schwarber, Bryson Stott, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler. The auction also features items autographed by 2008 World Series champions Shane Victorino and Chase Utley.

7. Phase One of voting for the 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot presented by BuildSubmarines.com ends on Thursday, June 27, at 12:00 p.m. Make sure to get your votes in for Phillies players to send them to the All-Star Game!

  • Gate Openings: 5:35 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday.

  • Broadcast: All three games will be broadcast on NBCSP. All games will be broadcast on 94 WIP and WTTM 1680. All games will also be available on nbcsportsphiladelphia.com and the NBC Sports app. Wednesday’s game will also be available on MLB Network (out-of-market only).
  • Mobile Ordering: Includes Manco & Manco @ Foundry Pizza, Miller Lite Liberty Landing, Pass and Stow and Shake Shack. Order your favorite menu items and skip the line when ordering through the MLB Ballpark App.
  • Bag Policy: In an effort to expedite entry, guests are prohibited from bringing non-clear bags, including backpacks and drawstring bags, into the ballpark. Only clutch purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5" x 7"), clear bags (no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"), medical bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. All bags will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations.
  • Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
  • Parking: Please click here for a parking map. Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game.
