Phillies announce new Foods, Gear and Fandom for Spring Training Games

Plus, ‘Know Before You Go’: All Spring Training game tickets will be via mobile delivery through the MLB Ballpark App; concessions and merchandise will be going primarily cashless

With Spring Training games for the Phillies beginning this weekend at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Fla., team officials revealed all the exciting new foods, fashion, fandom and more that will be part of the ballpark experience.

“The excitement here at BayCare Ballpark will undoubtedly be at an all-time high as our National League Champions take the field along with some incredibly talented additions to the team’s roster,” said Phillies Director of Florida Operations John Timberlake. “Off the field, we are very happy with the new food and merchandise offerings we have this year. It’s an exciting time to be a Phillies fan and we can’t wait to get Spring Training games underway.”

In addition, the team announced ‘Know Before You Go’ information before arriving at the ballpark, which includes being aware that all game tickets and parking passes for Phillies Spring Training will be via mobile delivery through the free MLB Ballpark App, and that all concessions and merchandise at BayCare Ballpark will be going primarily cashless.

Grapefruit League play officially begins on Saturday, February 25, with the Phillies taking on the New York Yankees at 1:05 p.m. for their split-squad Season Home Opener, with ceremonies featuring a spectacular parachute jump delivery of the first ball by Para-Commandos, as well as the Spring Training arrival of the Phillie Phanatic.

Other Spring Training highlights include an online Phillies Auction benefitting Clearwater-area charities on March 3-28, featuring game-used and autographed items by players such as Bryce Harper, Zach Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Rhys Hoskins and more at phillies.com/auctions. The team will also be selling ‘Mystery Balls’ at Spring Training games on March 17 and March 19, also to benefit Clearwater-area charities.

This will be the team’s 77th Spring Training in Clearwater, Fla. Ticket information is available at phillies.com.

TASTE OF CLEARWATER! NEW FOODS & BEVERAGES COMING TO SPRING TRAINING:

  • Barbacoa Boyz Barbecue: Available at Strike Out Café (Right Field).     • Tropic Pressure Golden Ale: Available on draft at the Tiki Bar, Clearwater Cocktail Co. Tiki Hut and Club Concessions (Suite level). Tropic Pressure's kissed-by-the-sun hue and tropical fruity notes are reminiscent of a day spent on the Gulf.
    • Bromosa Tangerine IPA: Available at Clearwater Cocktail Co. Tiki Hut. Dry-hopped juicy IPA. Expect a powerful punch of tangerine with a dry and hoppy finish.
    • Wavemaker: Available at Clearwater Cocktail Co. Tiki Hut. Wavemaker is an ultra-flavorful amber ale that’s refreshing enough to drink all year.
  • Carlos’ Consuming Fire Hot Sauce: Available at Bullpen Grille, Home Run Grille and Strike Out Café (Right Field) condiment carts. Clearwater hot sauce maker Carlos Sanchez is bringing the heat to Spring Training with his specialty sauces including Mango Habanero, Trinidadian Scorpion, Jalapeno Pepper and Ghost Pepper.
  • Coppertail Brewing Co.: Florida-inspired and Tampa-brewed beer options are coming to Bay Care Ballpark!
  • Free Dive IPA: Available on draft at the Tiki Bar and Coppertail Tiki Hut (behind home plate). With loads of Citrus and pine hops, this staple from the Coppertail portfolio is a best seller and favorite among those who enjoy IPA’s that finish on the dry side.
  • Sunner Runner Fruited Wheat Ale: Available at McGillicuddy’s Beers of the World and Coppertail Tiki Hut (behind home plate). New to the ballpark and local beer shelves, this beer is one of the best drinking beers on a bright sunny day. Made with fresh fruit inspired by the Florida sun.

  • Herr’s Chips: Available throughout the ballpark. Features brand new flavors that are savory to the pallet including Carolina Reaper Flavored Cheese Curds, Jalapeno Poppers Cheese Curls, Baby Back Ribs BBQ Chips, and Creamy Ranch and Habanero Potato Chips.
